Marinetek Summer Summit ́09 in Helsinki

Marinetek Group gathered all its distributors from around the world together for a three day seminar in June. The Summit included workshops, country presentations, installation shows, product training and a factory tour. The Seminar was a huge success and 70 family members from 20 countries participated. The Thursday evening summer party with live music on the historic Suomenlinna Island in front of Helsinki will be long remembered.

During the seminar the new Conduct pontoon was installed and moored with Seaflex. Marinetek also introduced a new e-series Seaflex which is inexpensive and available only through the Marinetek dealer network. KindaDeck fingers were also introduced for the first time. Rolec introduced its new Seawave and JLD International demonstrated how the Manta Ray marine anchor is installed and explained how it saves a lot of time and money. Marinetek also introduced the new adjustable aluminium jetty, floating jet-ski berth, aluminium swimming ladders, a new series of aluminium and stainless steel mooring cleats and plastic tube pontoon for shallow waters.

With the new improved product range, the new Global Marina Product concept and a stronger distributor network, Marinetek is now more competitive than ever.

New members in the Marinetek Family

M.Sc.(Econ.) Risto Keponen joined the company in March 2009 to head up the Marinetek Group and Marinetek Marinas Financing Departments. In this position he is also responsible for developing financing implementation for the corporation and its subsidiaries. Risto has gained strong professional expertise in the financial sector for over 22 years.

Nidal Selbak has been appointed as Managing Director of Marinetek MEA (Middle East and Asia). He will be based in the new Jebel Ali office in Dubai. Before joining the Marinetek family, Nidal worked in several countries, e.g. the U.A.E, Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, UK, France, USA and Canada, and most recently headed up the production company, Marinetek Gulf. Nidal has achieved rewarding results working with strong brands in real estate and hotel developments, venture capital and multi-million dollar project management.
